Lord Shri Swaminarayan, the source of all incarnations, has gifted to the mankind, the essence of all the scriptures in the form of Shikshapatri. For the benevolence of the entire human race, he has preached to spread the true education on the earth, which he has considered as a great good deed. Following to these principles for the betterment of the society and also for the noble cause of nourishing and spreading the divine commands of Lord Shri Swaminarayan, H.H. Gurudev Shastriji Maharaj Shri Dharmajivandasji Swami has, the dawn of the independence of our country, established Shri Swaminarayan Gurukul, in the year of 1948 in Rajkot, Gujarat (India). ​
